Join Our Team

Currently, 4-H Alberta is looking for an experienced and dedicated Manager, Alberta 4-H Centre to join our team on a full-time basis. Some travel will be required for this role as well as work hour flexibility in order to meet the needs of the Alberta 4-H Centre.

Working in partnership with 4-H volunteers, 4-H Alberta staff are hired to perform duties related to the operation of a first-class, respected youth development program. The location of the job aligns with the position: some positions referenced as Airdrie are primarily based at 4-H Alberta headquarters to be located in the Airdrie, Alberta vicinity.  Some are ‘semi-remote’ meaning a portion of the responsibilities will require being located in 4-H Alberta headquarters and a portion can be completed remotely; and some positions will operate ‘remote’ and do not require a headquarters location.

Reporting to the CEO, this fast-paced and exciting role will see you acting as a member of 4-H Alberta's leadership team. 

More specifically your responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Developing a comprehensive strategic plan and an annual business plan that makes the Alberta 4-H Centre a valuable facility for 4-H in Alberta and a revenue neutral/positive asset for 4-H Alberta. 
  • Overseeing revenue generation, facility utilization, facility and asset maintenance, and all operational activities including food and housekeeping. 
  • Developing and managing relationships with clients of the Alberta 4-H Centre.
  • Working with the Programs team to develop programming that is applicable to Alberta 4-H Centre activities. 
  • Maintaining good working relationships with the Fund Development Manager and all staff members of 4-H Alberta in order to leverage 4-H programs and services for the betterment of 4-H and the Alberta 4-H Centre. 

In order to qualify for this role, you will need a minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative or general management role along with a Health and Safety/First-Aid certification. Previous property management experience is an asset as is acumen for strategic planning and business development.
